Dr. Ashok Kumar Balyan, an M. Tech from IIT-Delhi, PhD from Germany is currently the CEO- Oil & Gas Business. of Reliance Group. Before joing Reliance he served as CEO & MD pf Petronet LNG Limited. Before PLL, Dr. Balyan served as Director Incharge - HR, Business Development & Joint Ventures in ONGC Ltd.He has more than three and half decades of experience in the field of exploration, production operations, project management, business development and human resource functions in ONGC Ltd. He joined ONGC in 1976, where he served across India, handling key positions. He had been instrumental in catalyzing various HR interventions besides guiding business development initiatives in downstream, Petrochemical, Power and alternate energy sources and expanding the frontiers in synergy with inherent strength of the company.

Mr. Aneesh Jain, CFA, Senior Associate, Energy Practice


Aneesh has been with the power and fuels practice of ICF since 2011. He has close to 8 years of experience in consulting and has worked extensively in the areas of oil and gas, power, renewable energy and fuels. He has provided bid advisory in the coal and CGD sectors, helped energy players assess the market for LNG as a transport fuel in India, and recently led the development of state level energy planning tools across six states in India. He has assisted several clients in assessing the market for LNG as a transport fuel in India and developing business cases and models for LNG retailing and transportation.Mr. Jain is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay.

Mr. Ankit Patel is Assistant Vice President & Co-Head, Corporate Rating of ICRA Limited and a member of the rating committee of ICRA. He holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai. Mr. Patel has an aggregate work experience of over 10 years out of which he has been associated with ICRA for over 9 years. Prior to this he has worked with the Reliance Infrastructure Limited for 1.5 years. He has a wide experience of working on credit rating and research assignments in the Ports, Construction, Oil & Gas and Power sectors. 

Shri R Guhan, Group General Manager- Chief Marketing Services, ONGC


Mr. Guhan has over 30 years of Oil and Gas Marketing Experience. Prior to this from 2008 to 2012, he served as Joint Advisor and Nodal Officer in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board on deputation from ONGC. He has also served for 4 years in British Petroleum Vietnam on behalf of ONGC Videsh He has received many distinctions during his service in ONGC and was accorded Certificate of Excellence by the United States Government body called USAID on Regulatory and Pricing Issues on Oil and Gas in South Asia in Sept 2003.

Mr. Srikrishna Chervu, Executive Director(Cryogenics), Indian Oil Corporation Limited


Mr. Chervu is currently working as Executive Director(Cryogenics) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited, responsible for various Technologies related to Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Argon and LNG. His team is primarily engaged in design and manufacture of Cryogenic Equipment for Life Sciences, Space and Atomic Research, DRDO, apart from Consumer applications. He spearheaded indigenous development of Cryogenic Storage and Transport Tankers for LNG and built team of professionals to support IndianOil’s “LNG at Doorstep” venture. Earlier he had a stint of Project Management for EPC of Oil-Tools with RDX explosives. He was head of IndianOil’s burgeoning Industrial Explosives Business manufacturing SMS explosives for use in Coal Mines / Copper/ Iron Ore / Zinc Mines etc.  Prior to IndinOil he was a indigenization team member of Allwyn, Hyderabad for high precision Mechanical Watches with patented Technology from SEIKO, Japan.

He is currently working as General Manager for Shell Energy India, a 100% Shell-owned entity, covering marketing and trading of natural gas and downstream LNG. He moved to this role from Hazira LNG, where he was the head of Marketing & Commercial department. Prior to this, Ashwani has worked with BG Group in various roles, the last one being of LNG Trading Manager in Singapore, where he was responsible for short term LNG trading covering key markets in Middle-East, India, South-East and North Asia
